Day 1

Day 2
  • Breakfast and daily briefing
  • Rendezvous at trapline staging area
  • Head to Chip Lake trapping area and camp
  • Check beaver and muskrat traps around lake
  • Lunch at Spike Camp
  • Training in fire building and safe use of axe and knife
  • Check traps on way back to staging area
  • Check for fresh wolf and coyote sign
  • Dinner at lodge; evening social at Wolf Den
Day 3
  • 00:00 Early rise and breakfast
  • Rendezvous at trapline staging area
  • Head north into hills for wolf coyote hunt
  • Trail lunch at north Spike Camp
  • Check lynx and fisher traps on east loop on way back to staging area
  • Dinner at lodge and evening social at Wolf Den (optional pelt handling instruction in skinning room)
Day 4
  • Breakfast and equipment check
  • Rendezvous at trapline staging area
  • Travel to Big Island Spike Camp at Chip Lake
  • Preparation of camp for overnight stay
  • Check beaver, muskrat, mink and fisher traps around lake
  • Campfire dinner and northern lights campfire social
Day 5
  • Coyote/wolf hunt on lake
  • Campfire breakfast
  • Break camp and head north to check lynx, sable, fisher traps on north and east loop
  • Trail lunch at north spike camp
  • Instruction in shelter building and wilderness navigation
  • Dinner at lodge; evening social and gift/trophy presentations at Wolf Den
Day 6
  • Breakfast and daily briefing
  • Ice fishing for northern pike and bourbot on Chip Lake, through holes augured through the ice
  • Shore lunch fish fry at Big Island Spike Camp
Day 7
  • Breakfast and daily briefing
  • (Fall season) Duck and goose hunting with shotguns on the lake (fall season) using boats and dogs
  • (Subject to availability) Aboriginal sweetgrass ceremony/sweat lodge ceremony
  • Additional day of hunting/trapping
  • Early morning pack up, breakfast and departure
